Searching for the elusive Light –

Is it behind that door?

Treading a path we feel is right,

Then treading it no more.

Holding a vision, seeing it clear –

There at the end of the road,

First it’s far, then it’s near –

Such a heavy load.

The journey takes a winding path,

Its’ rarely wide and straight,

For some it takes a lifetime

To find the hidden gate.

Searching for the elusive Light –

Where do we begin?

Suddenly enlightenment –

The seeker turns within.
